Bolt-On Comfort
For over 20 years, Thudbuster has been the bicycle industry standard in suspension seatposts by providing unequaled comfort and reliability to riders around the world.
The latest generation Thudbuster ST is superior to its predecessor in every way. Building on Thudbuster’s proven parallel linkage technology we have completely re-designed the seatpost for increased durability, a higher rider weight limit, and additional suspension travel, as well as ease of use through tool-free elastomer change and a single-bolt seat clamp design.
By improving on this already legendary design, we’re confident to say that the newest generation Thudbuster is the most advanced suspension seatpost ever made.
Designed specifically with the rigors of e-bikes and daily commuting in mind, the latest generation Thudbuster ST includes 50mm of travel to significantly diminish shocks and impacts from broken pavement, cobblestones or any other mixed surfaces.
Thudbuster ST is now able to support riders up to 330lbs (150kg) and incorporates a tool-free, interchangeable elastomer system to quickly and easily adjust the seat post for a variety of rider weights.
The Thudbuster Parallel Linkage technology stays in the direct path of the natural travel of the rear wheel. As a bump lifts the back of a bicycle, the rear wheel pushes up and forward into the rider. The Thudbuster works by compressing along the exact opposite path — down and rearward — absorbing force at the same rate. This results in a natural suspension feel without being overly active, and allows for more travel without compromising pedaling position.

Went on a 33 mile ride to test the Thudbuster for the first time. At first, I didn't notice anything and just thought about it from time to time as the ride went on. Then it hit me....I wasn't noticing anything, because it was working. Such a smooth and bump free experience. Worth every penny. I added this to my Specialized Turbo Vado 3.0 IGH.

I have a Trek Dual Sport 4, no rear suspension. I enjoy riding easy/intermediate trail, gravel, and pavement. A lower back injury restricted me to only pavement, so I was considering replacing it with a full suspension mtn bike when a friend suggested a Thudbuster (funny mtn bike salesman didn’t mention as option). Gave it a try. Shazam, back riding trails with a smile.

Once the clamps are hold in place together by the seat, the clamps cannot be rotated anymore to adjust seat angle position. The whole clamp needs disassembly and the clamps need to be forced out of the frame by hammering from the other side since you cannot untighten them by hand or any other mechanism. I am a mechanical engineer and ensure you the clamping mechanism is the worst.
Hi Raphael. Thank you for your feedback, we will be in touch shortly to help you resolve this issue.

This seat post was worth every penny. Almost as good as rear suspension. Added a lot of comfort.

Absorbs some bumps but not sure it’s worth the price tag and added weight.
