Q & A

Hi, is it possible to use eeWing Allroad with 47,5mm chainline frame like Lauf Seigla? If yes, which chairing would be the best (with which offset) to combine with eeWing? Thanks! Didier asked on November 1, 2023

Yes! eeWings All Road will work with your Lauf Seigla.

Chainline is determined by many factors including the frame, BB shell width, chainring, crank, hub spacing, and cassette. You will need to know your bike's current chainline, and then choose the chainring(s) that will achieve a similar offset when paired with eeWings. If you are not sure, your local bike shop can measure this for you.

Thank you for your reply about Lauf Seigla compatibility.
Is it possible to have a few more details? Lauf Seigla BB width: 73mm / Chainline 47.5mm / Q Factor 150mm. My project is to use the eeWing all road crakset with a Sram XX SL Eagle T-type rear derailleur + 10/50 Sram cassette ans 42 teeth chairing for gravel use, so I don't know which spacer I need to install on the spindel. Also, I have an hesitation about the chairing to install: 0 offset, or 3mm ou 6mm? 73mm is not in your BB chart! Help! Thx

Didier answered on November 7, 2023

Upon further review... the All Road eeWings are NOT compatible with 73mm shells. You will need to choose the MTN eeWings and follow the 73mm spacing instructions on the eeWings MTN instructions. Lauf does not list the rear hub spacing, but presuming it is 142mm you will need the 3mm offset chainring.

Ben Rea answered on November 9, 2023 store manager

Thank you so much for your reply. So the best should be the MTN eeWings, and in this case, I'll be abl to fit the cranks in the best way. Last: as the rear wheel is 142 mm, when you say I'll need a 3mm offset chairing will be necessary, it means 3mm in the direction of the crank (right), or the direction of the center of the frame (left)?
...i'm not easy with offsets, Q factor, and chainline (47,5 for the ideal cranset recommanded by Lauf), as you can understand!
I'm a eebrakes, eesilk user and all eewings products are no nice!
Now it is the eewing cranset to be on my bike!

Hi, is it possible to combine the eeWings All-Road with a Wolf Tooth 34T / 0mm-Offset chainring to get a 50mm-chainline? I'd like to use the All-Road cranks with a 12s-boost-system. Thanks! Rainer asked on October 19, 2023

If using eeWings on a Boost spaced bicycle, you will need the Mountain eeWings since these have a longer spindle and wider weld for use on Boost spaced bikes.

Ben Rea answered on October 25, 2023 store manager

I don't want the high Q-Factor of the MTB-crankset, so this one is not an alternative. The chainstays of the frame are small enough to fit the All-Road cranks.

Rainer answered on November 10, 2023

Please reach out to our rider support team at support@canecreek.com to continue this conversation, and discuss crankset compatibility, thank you.

Ben Rea answered on November 20, 2023 store manager

I also want to know this, for the exact same reason. The clearance for the all road crank on the frame is no problem. We need to know if a Wolf Tooth 34T (or even 32T) with 0mm offset fits. Does it?

Are there any plans for a 4-bolt spider compatible with Campagnolo SR 12spd chainrings? Blake asked on September 20, 2023

Not at the moment. There are many aftermarket chainring spiders, and direct mount chainring solutions to allow most any bike and drivetrain to use eeWings. You will have to find a different brand of chain ring but depending on the tooth count, there are many chain ring options for you.

Hello, I'm wondering can be eewings-all-road mounted to Specialized Diverge Sport Carbon 2021 with Shimano's GRX RX600 ? Thanks a lot for your answer. David asked on August 30, 2023

Yes you can. The 2021 Diverge uses a BSA threaded bottom bracket so to use the eeWings you will need to replace your current BSA BB with one that can use 30mm spindle cranks, like the eeWings. I recommend either our Hellbender 70 or lifetime guaranteed Hellbender 110 bottom bracket.

Then make sure your chain ring is compatible with the eeWings and we use the SRAM 3-bolt direct mount interface. We also offer 1x and 2x chainring spiders in 5bolt/110BCD.

Is this eewing cranks all road suitable for my Brompton T line? Thanks Jason asked on August 18, 2023

Yes you can use the eeWings All Road on Brompton bikes. Make sure your Brompton uses the BSA threaded bottom bracket for 30mm spindle cranks. We offer bottom brackets that will allow eeWings to fit the Brompton...

Well made and beautiful craftsmanship. giving it 3 stars because there needs to be a 165mm option like on your MTB version.

Best part of being a part of the Cane Creek family:  It’s very refreshing to work for a small, tight-knit company where we all share the same passions and to develop new products that make cycling better for everyone.
What you’ll find me doing on the weekends: Obviously riding bikes, but also wrenching on bikes or cars, exploring the mountains, and watching F1 races.
How I got here (at Cane Creek): Feeling pretty unfulfilled with a corporate engineering job, I happened to see that Cane Creek was hiring. I jumped at the opportunity to get my hands dirty working on the latest bike tech and was fortunate enough to be offered the position.
