Designed specifically with the rigors of e-bikes and daily commuting in mind, the latest generation Thudbuster ST includes 50mm of travel to significantly diminish shocks and impacts from broken pavement, cobblestones or any other mixed surfaces.
Thudbuster ST is now able to support riders up to 330lbs (150kg) and incorporates a tool-free, interchangeable elastomer system to quickly and easily adjust the seat post for a variety of rider weights.
The Thudbuster Parallel Linkage technology stays in the direct path of the natural travel of the rear wheel. As a bump lifts the back of a bicycle, the rear wheel pushes up and forward into the rider. The Thudbuster works by compressing along the exact opposite path — down and rearward — absorbing force at the same rate. This results in a natural suspension feel without being overly active, and allows for more travel without compromising pedaling position.

Verified OwnerNot very good at absorbing bumps. Tried 4 different inserts. All felt hard. I could feel each bump up my spine. The seat clamp is a joke. Even the redesigned replacement one still stinks. It's supposed to fit 7-9 mm rails, I had to buy a longer screw to mount 8 mm rails. Sold it and bought a more comfortable seat post. Cost less too.

Haven’t had a chance to ride much yet with the Thudbuster but it seems to work as advertised. I have ordered a new Brooks saddle and think it will be a good combination.
This is my second Thudbuster. It is a good for those of us who like a little more shock damping at the seat. I like the elegant simplicity of the engineering. The Thudbuster does add some weight compared to a traditional seatpost, in my opinion, well worth it.
