Hello, we offer a 51mm offset Helm 29er Fork under our warehouse deals page.

I have Crankbrothers Synthesis Alloy 29” wheels that have a 36.2mm outer width. Would I be able to run a 2.6” tire with these rims? Thanks Dan Amos asked on September 29, 2023

It really depends on the rim and the tire. Some 2.6" tires have a wider profile with more pronounced lugs that can affect tire clearance. I use a rim with a 27mm INNER width with a 2.5" Minion and it clears with plenty of room for a fender etc.

Will 2.6” tires fit on the 29” Helm fork? I see the max tire size is 64mm, which works out to 2.52”. I know rim width matters a bit too. Peter Hoelsema asked on September 21, 2023

You can squeeze a 2.6" tire in the Helm29 as long as the rim is narrower... You will want to check clearance before riding and using the wider tire. We list 64mm instead of a tire size because the rim/tire combination can affect clearance. A 2.5" on a really wide rim may not clear...

Can I buy a 130 mm travel fork and increase it to 140mm ?; Or more ? Thomas Anderson asked on September 2, 2023

Yes! The Helm MKII is the easiest fork to travel adjust. In fact you can adjust the travel from 100m to 160mm on the same fork. Check out the travel adjust video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9vZskHg-kg

Soft paint finish on lowers mars and scrapes far to easily, otherwise this fork is flawless. Dampening works as advertised and it is very versatile and user friendly. I would buy another.

Only have a few rides on the fork, feels good so far. Not sure I like the negative chamber set up, seems to want to suck my fork down. Think I’ve got it sorted out now. Clearance seems a little tight with a Helm fender installed. Not sure I could get a 2.6 or larger tire in there.
