The Thudbuster Parallel Linkage technology stays in the direct path of the natural travel of the rear wheel. As a bump lifts the back of a bicycle, the rear wheel pushes up and forward into the rider. The Thudbuster works by compressing along the exact opposite path — down and rearward — absorbing force at the same rate.
This results in a natural suspension feel without being overly active, and allows for more travel without compromising pedaling position.

Yes... the Medium/Firm elastomer comes installed in the seatpost. Other elatomers are sold separately. The 27.2mm seatpost is 390mm long and the 30.9mm and 31.6mm seatposts are 420mm long.
Many things but primarily the amount of travel (suspension) offered... eeSilk offers 20mm while Thudbuster LT offers 90mm. You can compare the specifications of each seatpost on our website: https://canecreek.com/seatposts-category/

Verified OwnerVery disappointed. Bought this from you for my girlfriend who wanted some suspension for her hard tail . Bought XS elastomer also as she weighs under 140 lbs. Changing elastomers was much harder than shown in video and offers very little movement. Also the seat clamp is a bad design, needs to be extremely tight to stop tilt movement !
