Q & A

Which hardware kit do I need? I bought the DB Kitsuma Air in the dimensions 230 x 62.5, it will be installed in my Trek Slash 8 Gen 5. Thank you in advance for the answer Falk Pristin asked on May 14, 2024

Hello, from our small in house sheet, we are showing the Gen5 Slash shock hardware to be 54x10 and 40x10. We would recommend reaching out to your local Trek Dealer to confirm.

I would like to fit Kitsuma Air DB to my new Orbea Rise Hydro. The shock extender has the hardware dimensions 8x16.46mm which I could not find in the catalogue. Is there a way around this? The bike came with FOX FLOAT DPS Performance, EVOL. Tuukka asked on April 22, 2024

Hello, we do not offer that size shock hardware - we would recommend reaching out to Orbea to see if this a proprietary size hardware.

Putting a Tigon on a 2023 Turbo Levo Carbon. What hardware do I need for this bicycle? Nick asked on February 15, 2024

Hello, from researching online looks like the 2023 Turbo Levo uses 20 x 8mm shock hardware and a Specialized Shock Eyelet Spacer.

I'm replacing the rear shock on my Gary Fisher Roscoe 1 with the DBcoil IL G1 shock - 200x57. The bike has a trunnion mount for the front end of the shock with an inner diameter of 40mm and the mounting bolts are M8. Am I correct for picking the 8mmx40mm mounting hardware for the front? Brandon asked on February 13, 2024

As a machinist/ME, building MTBs is a nice hobby to have. I have built a few biked over the past couple years and have had trouble with the plastic pre loaders that come on cranks. Theae alloy pre loaders have a better feel of tightness than the original plastic pieces. Gives a builder more confidence that all the play is out of the crank arms. Plus with the color options, it gives a custom build good options for personalized look.
