DB Kitsuma Coil Trunnion – 185 x 52.5 – BCD0065

FASTER WITH THE TURN OF A DIAL - $729.99

$729.99

Kitsuma is a strong, gravity-first shock that allows you to go faster thanks to a more personalized tune. With the increased ground-tracking sensitivity of a coil spring and the most damper oil of our entire shock family, it offers amazing downhill performance and maximum possible grip.

Kitsuma’s defining feature is its tool-free, 4-way damper controls. Easily adjusted by hand and offering a visual indication of your settings, Kitsuma encourages you to develop your own custom, pro-level tune – all in the name of supporting you getting down the hill faster and with more control than before.

Kitsuma favors descending but it’s not afraid to climb, with a rock-solid firm setting, it’s a gravity-first shock that wants to be pedaled to the top of the mountain for another run down.

Highlights:

  • Tool-free, 4 way adjustment
  • 3 position Climb Switch: Descend, Climb, Firm
  • Coil spring gives greater sensitivity and smoother, ground-hugging feel
  • Larger diameter damper shaft, more bushing overlap, and redesigned oil seal head for greater durability
  • Progressive bottom out bumper for greater end-stroke support

Currently have this shock mounted to a mk2 Capra, originally back in 2021 my considerations for a coil shock were to have lockout, LSC/LSR and HSC adjustment and come in DH shock sizing(Surprisingly hard combo to find at the time), after doing research I had originally settled on a rockshox super deluxe coil ult, however they were in very short supply in the peak of covid and eventually stumbled upon the kitsuma coil, not only did it check all my boxes it exceeded what I wanted with HSR adjustment and beating the rockshox in price by a decent margin, not only that cane creek was able to provide the shock on back order in a reasonable amount of time. On the bike I have it paired with a 570-630lb(I weigh 220lbs) sprindex coil spring and is dialed to a perfect 27% sag with all my kit on, this combo has been one of the most tunable setups and all the adjustment is external, the performance out of this shock is phenomenal, only good things to say when it comes to comments out on the trails, my only gripe if you can even call it that is the HSR and HSC adjustment could be just a tiny bit more clicky and positive but it is largely a non issue.

Shock works awesome. Great support on big hits and great small bump sensitivity.
