Invert

$1,099.99 - $1,199.99

Invert is the World’s First Gravel Fork.

Invert smoothes your ride and gives unbelievable control of your bike on rough roads, loose turns, and steep descents. It’s surprisingly lightweight, easy to use, and strikingly attractive. Until this point, no fork made for drop bars has been able to combine the smooth ride, lightweight, simplicity, and good looks into one complete package.

Riding beyond the pavement can be rough, physically taxing, and unpredictable. Invert goes straight to the source of this problem to offer a smoother ride with more traction, both uphill and down. With Invert, you’ll be more efficient, more relaxed, and have confidence to glide over gravel like you’ve never experienced before.

Invert CS (Climb Switch, 40mm, 1113g): $1,199.99
Invert SL (No Climb Switch, 30mm, 990g): $1,099.99

TWO MODELS

INVERT CS & INVERT SL

Invert CS comes with 40mm of fork travel and a Climb Switch button that when clicked, dramatically reduces the amount of fork movement for pedaling out of the saddle. The Climb Switch button is inspired by the simple click of a pen, and is as satisfying to click as the feature is to use.

Invert SL is a more minimal and lightweight option. It forgoes the Climb Switch mechanism to reduce weight even further and comes with less travel — 30mm. This shorter option may also be preferable to some riders that want to keep their stance on the front of the bike lower.

LIGHTWEIGHT

Invert is upside down relative to the layout of traditional suspension forks. This unconventional design offered us the chance to build the lightest gravel fork possible. The main body of the fork is made with a novel, hybrid carbon and aluminum structure that is noticeably lighter and far better looking than the alternative.

Invert SL tips the scales at less than one kilogram. That’s about 2 pounds.

This is not a mountain bike fork.

Invert is everything you need, and nothing you don't.

"It legitimately offers improved comfort and control, and certainly expands the fun factor of a good gravel bike. It also helps that it’s a lot lighter than most of the competition and less visually obtrusive."

-James Huang, Escape Collective

Q & A

Can a use it with a dynamo hub wheel set Tony asked on April 25, 2024

Hello, the Invert cane be used with Thru Axle Disc Wheels with Hub Spacing of 12x100mm (Thru Axle included with the Invert)

Conventional mountain bike shock forks have a bridge between them to prevent independent compression of one side resulting in wheel/tire rub. Besides the thru-axle no such connection exists between the two legs of the invert fork. A common air chamber or connection between the two sides for the air to flow would only cause the compressed (higher pressure leg) air from one side to flow to the other and extend the leg resulting in potentially more rubbing. Is that why the maintenance frequency is so high because of the close tolerances to prevent unequal compression? Joe Schneider asked on April 24, 2024

Hello, Invert forks move the bulk of the mass of the fork to the static CSU. The only moving parts are relatively small legs and a thru axle is more than sufficient when coupled with the stiffness of the CSU to prevent fork flex. Same with a single sided air spring. In fact, most forks have the spring on one side and a damper on the other side. For the Invent SL, we have simply removed the damper system completely and still only need a single-sided air spring. A 50 hour oil service is standard for open bath suspension components like our Invert and HELM forks.

How much should it cost to rebuild this fork? Will you sell an affordable service kit? At suggested service intervals of 50 hours for fluid and 100 hours for full a rebuild, that means the fork will be out for service of some type at least once a month! That could get expensive! Joe Regier asked on April 22, 2024

Hello. Inverts 50 hour service won't involve replacing anything other than oil. Full service intervals and costs are still being determined with long term tests, but this service will be far less complicated and cheaper than any of our other suspension products. Full service info will be available once orders start shipping.

will it work on a 2022 Specialized Crux? Roberto Rodriguez asked on April 19, 2024

Invert can be safely mounted on any gravel or All-Road frame that uses a tapered, 1 1/8” to 1.5” steerer tube. This is most commonly covered - but not exclusive to - bikes that use EC44, ZS56, and IS52 lower headset configurations. We are including a 52mm Cane Creek ZN40 lower headset bearing with every fork. This means 90% of riders with compatible bikes will be able to swap lower bearings and plug the fork directly into their frame with no extra headache.

Note on Geo: If you install Invert on a bike with an Axle-to-Crown, or “fork height” measurement of 420mm – 435mm it will not change the fit or handling of the bike whatsoever. This is called being “Suspension Corrected”

If you install Invert on a bike with an ATC of less than 420mm, be aware that the fork will raise the front end of the bike, shorten the apparent reach to the bars, and slacken (decrease) the head tube angle.

Crown Race: Invert CS and Invert SL both use an integrated 36 degree crown race. Check that your lower bearing is compatible. Standard Cane Creek bearings use 36 degree inner chamfer angles so if you have a Cane Creek headset – you're set. If you don’t, you can either upgrade to a Cane Creek headset, or it’s highly likely you can use the lower headset bearing we’ve included with the fork.

Is the Invert Fork compatible with 650b wheels? Mas asked on April 16, 2024

Hello! Yes, the Invert is compatible with 650b wheels, however, we designed the Invert around 700c wheels - and can be run with a 700x50 tire.
