$525.99 $315.40

DBcoil IL is the lightest weight coil shock on the market, while using 40-50% more damper oil compared to other shocks in its class. The DBcoil IL is the first ever twin-tube inline shock that packs in all of the function of a piggyback coil shock in a lighter and sleeker package.

Cane Creek Coil IL

CLIMB SWITCH

New Integrated Tool

Four-way adjustability becomes even more accessible with the new integrated tool nested in our CS (Climb Switch) lever.

When engaged, the low-speed damping is changed via a set of internal “climbing circuits.” We tune these circuits specifically for the demands of off-road climbing to achieve improved pedal efficiency with less chassis motion. Unlike other climbing platforms, our CS feature adjusts both low-speed compression and rebound.

Four-Way Independent Adjustment

The DBcoil IL offers an unparalleled range of adjustability through external adjusters that independently control each phase of damping without crossover effects. High and low speed compression, and high and low speed rebound are independently adjusted.

Other inline shocks typically provide the user with a single rebound adjustment or rebound combined with limited pre-set low-speed compression. The easy tunability of DBcoil IL means a rider can make a quick trail-side change, increasing pop, plushness, or other features for personalized fine-tuning.

By far the best shock I've ever ridden. It handles the steep and knarly as well as the smooth and buttery. I ride in the BC interior on DH and XC trails including the parks. This shock has never let me down. It's durable, tunable and the performance both up an down are amazing. It's been on my Trance sx for 2.5 years and I'm looking to install a Cane creek full setup on my new rig.

Q & A

Will this fit on a Fezzari Abajo Peak? Rock asked on September 6, 2023

Yes it should fit just fine but Fezzari does not list the shock size on their website so I am not sure what size shock you need. Fezzari should be able to tell you and you can then contact support@canecreek.com or visit our website for more help.

Will this shock with on a 2023 Orbea Rise - L? Thanks. OBie asked on September 6, 2023

While it will fit, we do not recommend using the DBCoil IL on Clevis shock mounts, like those used on the Rise. This will void any warranty on your shock. The DBAir IL is a better shock for that bike.

Your Nomad V5 uses a 230mm shock length which is ideal for the the Kitsuma Coil. Part # BCD0057

I have an IBIS HD5 and am considering a CC DB Coil IL (Prev. generation). I weigh 200 lbs and I ride alot of aggressive trail and free ride. Which coil would you recommend ? Peter Gonzalez asked on September 3, 2023

Your HD5 uses a Clevis mount which unfortunately is not compatible with the DBCoil IL. You can use the DBAir IL, or one of our older DBCoil CS shocks... We have the DBAir IL available in 200x57 at a nice discount now... https://canecreek.com/product/dbair-il/

Got this (old) version on sale after the new version came out, and have been very impressed with the performance. Great shock - feels sensitive/supple but also supportive and poppy when I need it. Nice work Cane Creek.

Replaced my worn out air shock with this coil rather than waiting a couple weeks with no bike for repair. The shock and spring added less than the weight of a banana. The factory tune feels perfect unfortunately shock wiz can’t verify as it only works with air springs.

Best part of being a part of the Cane Creek family:  It’s very refreshing to work for a small, tight-knit company where we all share the same passions and to develop new products that make cycling better for everyone.
What you’ll find me doing on the weekends: Obviously riding bikes, but also wrenching on bikes or cars, exploring the mountains, and watching F1 races.
How I got here (at Cane Creek): Feeling pretty unfulfilled with a corporate engineering job, I happened to see that Cane Creek was hiring. I jumped at the opportunity to get my hands dirty working on the latest bike tech and was fortunate enough to be offered the position.
