Q & A

I'm looking for brake pads for SCX 5. jeff asked on June 21, 2023

You can use most any brake pad that is suited for Cantilever/Linear pull brakes. Make sure they have the pad stud on the back since this is required. You can find instructions for the SCX5 calipers here: https://canecreek.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/SCX_5_Cantilever_Brake_Calipers_Instructions.pdf

The progressive spring allows you to run a lower psi in the Tigon. I run mine at 5psi. And have never bottomed out. 185lb rider and the 50lb bike yields 18mm of sag. In climb mode there is still a little bit of spring action which is nice for your butt.
