I still haven’t installed it because it didn’t come with the required spindle spacers and I needed to order them separately from another company, an extra $25. Customer service could not help me figure out which spacers were even needed, just told me to visit my local bike shop. Also, the bottom bracket was shipped out assembled incorrectly with one of the seals on backwards, as shown in the image.

    • William, we’re terribly sorry about the lag in response time. We’ve admittedly been very behind on technical support since the damage and disruption caused by Hurricane Helene. Just now getting back to being 100% operational. If you have any issues with your bottom bracket, please let us know and we’d love to do what we can to support you. The fastest way to get in touch with us is to call 828-641-9560 during our office hours listed here on Canecreek.com.

    • HB70 BB Review – Hi Ryan, thanks for reaching out and your feedback – Our Hellbender 70 or 110 Series Bottom Brackets do not come with spindle spacers, only 1 BSA Shell Spacer(BSA BBs Only) – Our eeWing Crankset uses a 30mm Spindle, so, we only offer 30mm Spindle Spacer Kits for purchase. We do not offer Shimano 24mm or SRAM Dub 29mm Spindle Spacer Kits.

We do apologies that your bottom brackets dust cover was placed in the packaging backwards – this can be fixed by flipping the cover over 180 degrees and replacing it on the bottom bracket bearing after the crankset is installed.
