Thudbuster LT

SUSPENSION SEATPOST

The latest generation Thudbuster LT is superior to its predecessor in every way.  Building on Thudbuster’s proven parallel linkage technology we have completely re-designed the seatpost for increased durability, additional suspension travel, as well as ease of use through tool-free elastomer change and a single-bolt seat clamp design.

By improving on this already legendary design, we’re confident to say that the newest generation Thudbuster is the most advanced suspension seatpost ever made.

Parallel Linkage Design

The Thudbuster Parallel Linkage technology stays in the direct path of the natural travel of the rear wheel. As a bump lifts the back of a bicycle, the rear wheel pushes up and forward into the rider. The Thudbuster works by compressing along the exact opposite path — down and rearward — absorbing force at the same rate.

This results in a natural suspension feel without being overly active, and allows for more travel without compromising pedaling position.

Absolutely the best addition I have made to my Moustache e-bike.

Definitely improves impact on small to medium bumps and roots. I’m 170 pounds with my camel pack. The medium elsatomer thing was too harsh so I ordered the softest one with slight improvement. It still produces the boing effect on large bumps like the Suntour post that this replaces. I’m using this on a hard tail trail bike on intermediate trails with lots of roots, so maybe I’m being a little harsh? I’d like to see a coil spring inside the post so it would cover large bumps as well as small and medium roots. That would be awesome. I bought the 27.2 mm post and will try this on my XC bike with adapter where I think it will be most helpful. Worth the money if you ride a lot or have health issues like me.

Best part of being a part of the Cane Creek family:  It’s very refreshing to work for a small, tight-knit company where we all share the same passions and to develop new products that make cycling better for everyone.
What you’ll find me doing on the weekends: Obviously riding bikes, but also wrenching on bikes or cars, exploring the mountains, and watching F1 races.
How I got here (at Cane Creek): Feeling pretty unfulfilled with a corporate engineering job, I happened to see that Cane Creek was hiring. I jumped at the opportunity to get my hands dirty working on the latest bike tech and was fortunate enough to be offered the position.
