Linear And Progressive Rate VALT Springs
Not sure what spring rate you need? Find out here: Everything You Need To Know About Coil Springs
The performance of your shock is directly related to the quality of your spring. VALT springs offer a significant weight reduction over standard steel springs. Riders can enjoy the performance benefits of coil shocks without the weight penalty.
Progressive-Rate VALT coil springs are designed and tuned by Cane Creek’s engineering team to provide riders with a true rise-in-rate spring curve. The Progressive-Rate VALT springs maintain the sensitivity and “set it and forget it” mentality of a traditional coil set up, but with the progressiveness and ramp up that hard-charging riders and many frame designs demand. Progression begins at 50% into the stroke of the spring.
Below is a graph that shows the difference in spring progressiveness between our standard VALT spring and our Progressive-Rate VALT spring. Rate increases are proportional to a DB Kitsuma Air air spring with (1) volume spacer installed
Hello, Our springs have an inner diameter of 36.3mm. Please consult your shock's manufacturer for their official clearance. We do not fit any Rock Shox dampers.
However, outside of Rock Shox, we do fit many current dampers. If you have a FOX DHX or earlier shock, you will need to use our Spring Converter (.DB11253H). Current FOX products do not require this converter. Again, please consult your shock's manufacturer for their recommendations.
Andy Bennett answered on April 24, 2024 store managerNo a 65mm spring may "spring bind" at full compression on a 70mm shock. This is when the spring bottoms out on itself, before the shock compresses fully and is not good for the bike, spring, or shock.
A 70mm stroke shock can use a 70mm/2.75" spring, or a 76mm/3" spring. You can use longer stroke springs on shorter stroke shocks as long as the spring fits the damper and is the same or more stroke than the shock, and is the correct spring rate for you. A 400lb spring is 400lbs whether its a 50mm or 70mm spring.

It was recommended the wrong diameter - it should have been 8mm

Bushing too tight. Too much friction even though it measures correctly. Only needed the seal anyway.

Too expensive for a mtb shirt. I washed with my delicate clothes and some threads are coming off
