Deeply regret purchasing the ancora. I installed this in a Time ADHX fork, and torqued the compression bolt. Before I reached the specified 9nm, the steerer cracked under the pressure. The plug is now stuck in the steerer (not that I’ll ever use this part again in the future.) The wrench has been calibrated, and the steerer was brand new. And Time is renowned for the quality of their carbon manufacturing. Very hard for me to understand why such high pressure is specified for this part—it’s higher than the specs of other similar parts. I’m currently waiting for Time to determine the warranty status, but I expect to be charged for a new fork. To me this is inexcusable on the part of cane creek. Why do you design a compression plug that requires 9nm when other similar parts on the market have lower values. And even if the stem should be installed on the steerer to counteract the outward pressure from the plug (which I doubt) why is this not made clear in the instructions? Extremely disappointing. I have multiple helms, eewings, eebrakes, hellbender-based bb’s and headsets, all phenomenal, but this product and its installation instructions have resulted in a very dangerous failure. The worst part: if I hadn’t noticed the crack, I’d be relying on a compromised steerer while bombing mountain road descents at 50mph+. Just egregious. DO NOT BUY!

Compression ring did not fit inside the bearing for my fork. I used the old bearing and crown race.
