Yes. Our seatpost adapters are designed to allow smaller seatposts, to fit into larger seat tubes. Just make sure you choose the correct shim for both your seatpost diameter, and the seat tube.
I am not sure your question but if you are using a seat post adapter, make sure it is seated full into the seat tube on your bike. Then follow the minimum/maximum insertion instructions for your seat post to make sure enough seat post is in the seat tube to be safely used...and you are all set.
Unfortunately No. We only have adapters for 27.2mm up to 31.8mm.
If you are asking if you can use a 27.2mm seatpost in a 30.9mm seat tube then yes. You will need the 27.2mm - 30.9mm adapter part #.ST27309
You cannot use a larger seatpost in a smaller seat tube.
No the seatpost adapters are sized very precisely to ensure a good fit. If you need a seat post size in 31.8mm, we offer a 27.2mm - 31.8mm adapter so you can use a 27.2mm seatpost in a 31.8mm seat tube. Part# .ST27318
Unfortunately there are no 31.6mm - 31.8mm adapters since 0.2mm is very thin.
