Q & A

If I want to trade out the round thumb wheel round screw for the bolt on the eeSilk what is the part number? It’s hard to adjust the thumb wheel Sam Cichanowicz asked on July 21, 2023

That would be part #AAE0097SS - EESILK 2.0/+ - POST - REAR BOLT M5X0.8X33 - STAINLESS

You can find this part # and other eeSilk parts on the eeSilk instructions: https://canecreek.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/AAE0305_eeSilk_Instructions_1_25_2022-1.pdf

The question is Why I bought this item?
I bought it because while riding my very expensive Reise miler bike, this element unexpectedly simply broke off!!!!
it was clearly made of some crappy china metal. Bravo Cane Creek I almost die .

Not that great. The newer seatpost design is much better.

Absorbs some bumps but not sure it's worth the price tag and added weight.

Best part of being a part of the Cane Creek family:  It’s very refreshing to work for a small, tight-knit company where we all share the same passions and to develop new products that make cycling better for everyone.
What you’ll find me doing on the weekends: Obviously riding bikes, but also wrenching on bikes or cars, exploring the mountains, and watching F1 races.
How I got here (at Cane Creek): Feeling pretty unfulfilled with a corporate engineering job, I happened to see that Cane Creek was hiring. I jumped at the opportunity to get my hands dirty working on the latest bike tech and was fortunate enough to be offered the position.
