Q & A

What hardware kit would I need? I have a 2012 SJ FSR Comp 29 that came with Custom Fox Triad II 197x48mm and I'd like to swap to a Coil IL 190x45 with a Bike Yoke SJ01. Thx Brad asked on March 5, 2024

Putting a Tigon on a 2023 Turbo Levo Carbon. What hardware do I need for this bicycle? Nick asked on February 15, 2024

Hello, from researching online looks like the 2023 Turbo Levo uses 20 x 8mm shock hardware and a Specialized Shock Eyelet Spacer.

I'm replacing the rear shock on my Gary Fisher Roscoe 1 with the DBcoil IL G1 shock - 200x57. The bike has a trunnion mount for the front end of the shock with an inner diameter of 40mm and the mounting bolts are M8. Am I correct for picking the 8mmx40mm mounting hardware for the front? I'm changing the air shock out for a spring on my 2020 ibis mojo hd5. It's a 7.875 x 2.25" / 200 x 57mm spec. I can't seem to find any specs on the hardware. Would you happen to know which hardware kit I would need? Josh P asked on January 19, 2024

Yes, indeed! That bike uses 21.8 x 8mm hardware in the leading eye and 15 x 8mm hardware in the rear-facing eye.

Hi! Can I use the Fox's DU with flange and mounting axel to fit in Kitsuma air eyelet? I found that is a bit hard to push the axel into the DUs in the eyelet. Is the diameter of the eyelet slightly different from Fox? What is the spec of the eyelet and how wide the outer diameter of the axel should I used? Torres asked on December 18, 2023

Our shock eyelets and bushings used are a widely adopted industry standard. (15mm eyelet ID) It is possible to reuse hardware from your fox shock in your Kitsuma. Shock hardware is a press-fit interface and often requires some mechanical advantage to install. (bench vise and 13mm socket will do the trick) If the existing hardware shows any signs of wear, we would highly recommend getting fresh hardware from us and starting with a perfectly fitting, clean slate! If you have questions about the procedure, please contact our rider support team at 828-641-9560.

It was recommended the wrong diameter - it should have been 8mm

Spot on; a perfect fit, and sets up an excellent accent for my bike. And matched my gold Jagwire cable housing just right.
