Prior to buy these forks, I read some reviews about Cane Creeks paint being not up to standard with blemishes out of the box and easily chipping. I wanted to get these anyway because I love supporting American brands when able and these were on sale. The forks I purchased did come with some minor blemishing and I did manage to chip the paint installing the fender. Also, the steerer tube didn’t cut as cleanly as previous forks I’ve cut but that could just be me. Obviously this doesn’t affect ride quality and they ride good enough. Definitely would not buy these at the $1,100 price point they are usually in. Even at $659 I think you can find the Marzochi Z1, RS Pike, and Fox 36 Elite sometimes under that. All 3 of those options I think provide a better bang for your buck if you can find them similarly priced and you don’t mind supporting foreign companies. Just my opinion and all this is very subjective.
