Kitsuma’s defining feature is its tool-free, 4-way damper controls. Easily adjusted by hand and offering a visual indication of your settings, Kitsuma encourages you to develop your own custom, pro-level tune – all in the name of supporting you getting down the hill faster and with more control than before.
Kitsuma favors descending but it’s not afraid to climb, with a rock-solid firm setting, it’s a gravity-first shock that wants to be pedaled to the top of the mountain for another run down.

We do not make any titanium springs. Our Valt lightweight springs are already quite light, relative to other steel springs on the market, with a 50-200g weight saving compared to a traditional steel spring. Another thing to consider is whether or not the Coil IL would fit/be suited to your bike. The Coil IL starts at only 500g with a spring - which is equivalent to some popular 'trail category' air shocks! Coil IL packs a huge punch, with the ability to generate just as much damping range and control as Kitsuma. It just has a bit less oil volume, which may or may not effect you realistically. Coil IL is a fantastic lightweight coil option so long as you aren't trying to use it on a bike that uses a clevis mount design. Kitsuma is a fantastic shock. It's got the most damper oil of our shock family, and the most external adjustability - so for people riding long, fast, and rocky descents looking to optimize their downhill performance as much as possible, then Kitsuma is the shock for you. It also has a fantastic 3 position climb switch with a firm setting that Tigon can't offer. For supreme grip and downhill control Kitsuma is great. Tigon is indeed more resilient in dealing with lateral stress, since structurally, it's built more like an air shock. All things being equal, on paper it's a better choice for clevis mount, but there are SO many other factors that go into this statement such as rider weight, general aggression, feature size, riding volume, how well you observe service intervals, ect. Tigon allows you to control and tune the spring rate much more, so it's really a great option for bikes that aren't already progressive enough to support coil use. This is no concern for you since the Meta has a linkage that already plays well with more linear rate coil springs. If you don't feel like you need all the added/adjustable progression of Tigon, then you're probably fine to go with Kitsuma. Kitsuma is a strong shock, with a solid steel 9.5mm damper shaft that in the past we said was compatible with many clevis mount bikes. If Kitsuma is what you're excited about, it wouldn't be a bad choice! Plus, the tool free adjustment is truly awesome.
Our newest shock, Tigon, is ideal for the Turbo levo since it has both a larger 12.5mm damper shaft making the shock very robust when used with clevis mount bikes, and the RAMP tube offers tuneable air support as well. You can use either Kitsuma Coil, or, our brand new Tigon shock that features our patent pending RAMP tube. This would be a great option for your Wild. Or a Kitsuma Coil with a progressive spring. Either way, you need a 205/65 sized shock and a spring rate of 500lb for Linear VALT, and the 500-610lb for Progressive. You do not need the Progressive VALT spring if choosing the Tigon shock.

Absolutely game changing. I upgraded from a Fox Float X performance and I could instantly feel an improvement in control and numb absorption, especially at high speeds and on extended runs. I originally wanted the progressive spring but due to back orders, I went with the linear and honestly, I don’t think I’d want a progressive spring. The shock is super tuneable but just doing a couple of hours of research gave me the basic understanding to take advantage of it. Even climbing the shock is amazing with the climb switch.
