The ground-tracking sensitivity of coil gives a level of control to your bike that you never thought possible – without the weight and bulk of larger shocks or the inefficiency of longer-travel suspension platforms.
Powered by DB Twin Tube technology, IL shocks give a super wide range of 4-way damping adjustability and use 30% more oil volume in the damper compared to other inline shocks. Stock-level suspension makes all kinds of concessions to suit the larger market, and when the amount of rear travel is already minimal, IL is perhaps the most noticeable upgrade you can make to your bike’s performance.

*Cane Creek Coil IL shocks are not recommended for bikes that use “clevis” style suspension designs. They are not compatible with Specialized Stumpjumper & Turbo Levo models. For additional information, read this support article.

Hello, our Coil IL is our short travel- big performance shock - which is also out lightest twin tube coil shock. If you are looking for a 230 x 65mm shock, we would recommend our Kitsuma Coil or Tigon as the coils shaft is thicker and stronger, which would perform better at this eye to eye length.
