Today, Cane Creek is excited to expand its offering of colorful components with the addition of a brightly anodized purple colorway. Purple will now be offered within Cane Creek’s Chroma Studio, their collection of anodized parts, that was launched in late 2023. Since the introduction of Chroma Studio, purple has been the most highly requested color from dealers, distributors, and end consumers alike. Purple will now join Blue, Red, Gold, and Silver as a permanent offering across most of Cane Creek’s core product lines.
The Chroma Studio collection includes Hellbender headsets and bottom brackets, Helm mkII forks, and a handful of other small, premium accessories.
Notably, along with the introduction of purple, Cane Creek is also expanding the Chroma Studio collection to include Hellbender 70 LITE headsets (in all 5 colors). These lightweight headsets use a hybrid aluminum bearing that’s 30% lighter than a traditional steel equivalent. The Hellbender LITE bearing uses minimized bearing balls and races housed within an aluminum shell to reduce the weight considerably. Hellbender 70 LITE headsets also include an ultralight preload assembly made up of a lightweight preload bolt and interlocking top cap, paired with a premium star nut. The combination of Hellbender LITE bearings and premium preload assembly offer up to a 33% weight reduction compared to a standard, Hellbender 70 headset. It's for riders who prioritize low weight without wanting to sacrifice weather sealing and durability.
The Chroma Studio gives riders the ability to build something unique, adding just the right amount of personal style to their bike. It doesn’t have to cost much though! Riders can join the Chroma Studio fun starting at only $35.99 for the Crank Preloader – a notable durability upgrade over the cheap, plastic preload rings that come stock on many modern cranks.
