I need a crown race for a ZS44 upper / EC49 lower headset (CC40 headset). What are my options for replacements? Thanks David Weyer asked on May 21, 2024

Hello, our EC49 Lower headset assembly uses a 52mm OD bearing. If you are using a tapered 1.5 inch fork, you will need out 52/40mm crown race. If you have a 1 1/8th inch steer tube fork, you will use our 52/30mm crown race.

Hello, I have just bought a new MTB Frame and the recommended axel to crown is slightly longer than my current fork. To maintain geo of the frame I would like to get a +6mm crown race. Does this completely replace the standard crown race? As a result the headset sealing will not be as good as it would be with the standard sealed crown race? Jarrod Hinwood asked on April 26, 2024

Hello, yes, you would need to remove your current crown race to install the +6mm crown race. Our +6mm crown race does not have the extra seal around the lip of the crown race.

I have a stock salsa Fargo, 2021 with the Apex build. It comes with a Cane Creek 40 headset. I want to buy an extra crown race for a suspension fork to switch out forks occasionally. Can you tell me what crown race is compatible with your headset that comes on the Salsa Fargo 2021. Thank you. Matt C asked on March 24, 2024
