the best headset for short people like me. you can really lower the stack height to have more aggressive climbing position in XC bikes

Not sure what bike this is supposed to fit, but the spacing required from the top of the bearing to the top of the head tube is unlike any other I've seen, and where the "Slam" gets all of it's gains from - rather than from the design of the slam itself. So odd. All seals have been removed from the design. Recommend searching a competitor product if you're looking for a normally sealed 'slammed' headset for a standard headtube configuration.

Ritchie, I’m sorry to hear you ran into fitment issues with your Hellbender70 Slam. I see you purchased an IS42 assembly and will note that some frames may require the use of shim spacers as some frames have a deeper headtube bore than others. Specialized frames notoriously do require this among a couple of other brands. The Hellbender70 Slam comes with the Hellbender bearing which has an incredibly robust seal, so we do not have additional seals placed in the top cover to maximize the “slammed” benefit the top cover provides. We do have a seal that would work with this top cover along with shim spacers that may allow this headset to better meet your needs. I will reach out to you to coordinate getting some additional parts sent your way.
