Hellbender 70 Lite Preload Assembly – BAA2135

(1 customer review)

$19.99

In stock

The Premium Preload Assembly is a finely machined, ultra lightweight upgrade for any rider looking to shave some weight and/or take their cockpit aesthetic up a notch. This assembly is less than half the weight of a traditional star nut, preload bolt, and top cap. The premium star nut uses an aluminum body, and plated wings that also resists corrosion far better than its basic, steel counterpart. Pair with our Ancora compression plug for use in carbon steer tubes.

  • Compatible with all 1 1/8″ aluminum and steel steer tubes.
  • Weight: 10.6g
  • Typical Preload Assembly Weight: 26.5g
  • Adjustment: T25 Torx

Just this: it would be great to have an expander for carbon fork with the headset.

The bearings work great and got rid of some creaking from old bearings. However the top cap and preload cap that is supposed to go on top of the bearing below the stem are both garbage. The top cap bound on itself and I had to drill it out as trying to get it out I stripped the top torques fitting and the compression cap simply does not fit and does not preload the bearing. So I used the bearings but had to keep using all the old parts as none of the new ones worked or broke.
