These posts make great enhancements to gravel or mixed surface bikes by reducing the chatter transmitted from the surface to the rider and can be tuned to rider weight through a simple elastomer change.

Seat post is light and comfortable. Had problems with the seat post sliding in my steel seat tube until I applied some carbon grease. The mounting mechanism is difficult to access with some saddles as there's a front wing-nut that needs to be tighten by hand. Once that's in place it's just a matter of tightening up the one bolt. Problem is that bolt would not stay tight so I had to constantly stop and retighten but I did end up losing it on a ride last fall -- not good to be miles from the trailhead without a saddle. The replacement that CC sent had Loctite pre-applied so I guess they've attempted to address the problem.

Works great on my hard tail Specialized SJ. This is my second product. I have also installed on another hard tail.

I splurged on the carbon, life is short.

This is replacing the first version of the Redshift StopShock seatpost on my Salsa Cutthroat. I have been very happy with the performance of the Redshift but I needed to make my bike lighter and the eeSilk+ seatpost is almost half the weight than the StopShock. So far I’m happy with the choice but this one feels different, I don’t have enough miles to fully comment. The eeSilk+ is more bouncy than the StopShock because the elastomer springs back faster than the spring in the StopShock. I’m 180 lbs, while the standard #5 is rated 150 to 210 lbs, I’m debating about trying the #7 elastomer but I’ll give it more miles before.

This seat post is a game changer when your spending long days in the saddle. Makes long distance bike travel so much more comfortable.
