The progressive coil improved the performance of my ebike. It eliminated uphill pedal strikes and bottoming out by requiring more force to compress the spring as I get deeper into the travel. Ebikes use more suspension due to weight - I swapped a 450lb SLS with a 450 - 550lb progressive.
