VALT Springs

Linear And Progressive Rate VALT Springs

Not sure what spring rate you need? Find out here: Everything You Need To Know About Coil Springs

The performance of your shock is directly related to the quality of your spring.  VALT springs offer a significant weight reduction over standard steel springs. Riders can enjoy the performance benefits of coil shocks without the weight penalty.

Progressive-Rate VALT coil springs are designed and tuned by Cane Creek’s engineering team to provide riders with a true rise-in-rate spring curve. The Progressive-Rate VALT springs maintain the sensitivity and “set it and forget it” mentality of a traditional coil set up, but with the progressiveness and ramp up that hard-charging riders and many frame designs demand.  Progression begins at 50% into the stroke of the spring.

Below is a graph that shows the difference in spring progressiveness between our standard VALT spring and our Progressive-Rate VALT spring.  Rate increases are proportional to a DB Kitsuma Air air spring with (1) volume spacer installed

Q & A

Hello, I'd like to buy one of your progressive springs for my kitsuma coil but I have a problem. My shock has a stroke of 75mm and I've seen that the maximum stroke of the progressive spring is 65mm, so I'm wondering if the 65mm spring will fit my shock. Thank you for your answer. Thomas Dega asked on June 25, 2024

Hello, thanks for reaching out, however, our 65mm progressive spring does not have a long enough free length to fit a 75mm stroke shock correctly.

Hi I have a YT Jeffsy 2019 150mm front and rear. Not sure what spring to use. Weigh about 87kg geared up. Do you now if my bike Is progressive or not? Have read that if you have progressive bike you should go for a linear spring and vice versa. What do you recommend for me? Thanks in advance Oscar asked on May 29, 2024

It was recommended the wrong diameter - it should have been 8mm

Bushing too tight. Too much friction even though it measures correctly. Only needed the seal anyway.

Too expensive for a mtb shirt. I washed with my delicate clothes and some threads are coming off
