    High quality fit

    I've never used an IS headset before and I'm sold on this one. Nice precise fit, no tools required with exception of the crown race, and super easy to adjust. Very high quality machining and finish. Robust design with sealed bearings and additional lip seals so it should hold up well. Highly recommended!

    Works great for surly karate monkey, I was able to change out the rigid fork to a suspension fork. High quality at a good price.

    Superb

    I replaced the top headset on a new bike for noise and aesthetic reasons. I really only had to replace the cap, but did the whole assembly for the heck of it. The install was easy, and I haven’t heard a sound since. I think it looks a lot nicer too.

Setting The Standard

Featuring a full alloy construction – sealed cartridge bearings, 6000 series alloy cups and materials, and a sealed steel crown race, the Forty headset sets the standard for all other headsets to be judged.

ZN40 Bearings

The ZN40 bearings are corrosion-resistant zinc-coated, machined steel cartridge bearings with hardened steel balls, which vastly increases the longevity of the Forty headset. 

Interlok® Spacer Compatible

Our patented Interlok spacer design provides solid interface between the top cover and spacer stack, meaning they “nest” together and into the top of the bearing cover, which helps minimize shifting under load while riding; and shave 25% in weight off a standard alloy spacer stack. Spacers sold separately
