These posts make great enhancements to gravel or mixed surface bikes by reducing the chatter transmitted from the surface to the rider and can be tuned to rider weight through a simple elastomer change.
The eeSilk+ seatpost is shipped with a Medium elastomer installed. Extra Soft, Soft, Firm and Extra Firm elastomers are sold separately.

eeSilk+ seatposts come with medium elastomer installed. All others available separately.
Two seatpost diameters and over 20 adapter sleeves make fitting a variety of bike frames easy.
Step 1. Confirm your bike uses a traditional, round seatpost.
Step 2. Select the eeSilk+ seatpost size that’s closest to your frame’s seat tube diameter without going over.
Step 3. Select an adapter that converts the chosen seatpost size to your frame’s seat tube diameter.

I got this seatpost after suffering some tailbone soft tissue damage riding my rigid Niner Air 9 Carbon on local gravel trails. I was worried the seatpost would impart a “bouncy” feel especially given my higher weight. I was not only pleasantly surprised that the seatpost stays tight until dampening is needed, I was amazed at the smoothness.
It worked so great I came back home and ordered the eeSilk stem!
Same with the stem, I did not notice the difference at first but over rougher sections, the rear of the bike stayed more planted. I was no longer jostled off of my intended line. Mind you this is not like normal suspension but just enough to take the edge off.
I installed this setup on the stoker spot on our tandem. Wife is so much happier now. Well worth the investment. High quality parts, I will be picking up a second one for our other tandem.
Excellent product . . . I now have them on two different bikes.
The device is beautifully finished and beyond that I have little to say – it works quietly as a seat post, but after a ride I am noticeably less “jarred.” It does not announce itself with untoward bouncing or any oddness whatsoever. I would give this my highest rating as I would buy it again if it went missing. DLB
