All Cane Creek headset bearings are durable, sealed cartridge bearings, and they’re interchangeable between headset series. Simply match the bearing size and drop in your new bearing. (See below for bearing compatibility).

We cannot guarantee compatibility with our bearings in a different manufacturer’s headset.

Notes

• BAA2297 is a drop-in bearing upgrade kit for FSA IS42/IS52 headsets (commonly found on current Specialized mountain bikes). Designed to work with existing headset bearing cover and compression ring. Sealed crown race included.
• BAA2191 –  49.5/40.5|52/40 – fits the 2024 Specialized World Cup.

*Our ZN40 bearings (used in all Forty Series headsets) can feel rough in hand initially. This is a necessary side effect of the corrosion-resistant zinc coating used on the balls and races. This initial roughness wears in, becoming smoother with use, and extends the overall lifespan of the bearings.
