CHANGE YOUR GAME

Featuring 7075 T-6 aluminum cups and covers, and long lasting Zinc coated sealed cartridge bearings, the AngleSet is the only option for riders looking to change their headtube angle without sacrificing quality and performance.

Offset Cups

The varying headtube angles are achieved through the offset headset cups and gimbal system.  Each offset cup can create a steeper or slacker angle by rotating it 180 degrees. 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5 degree offset options.

ZN40 Bearings

ZN40 bearings are corrosion-resistant zinc-coated, machined steel cartridge bearings with hardened steel balls.

CANE CREEK HEADSETS

A LEGACY OF INNOVATION

In 1992, we brought the Aheadset®, the original threadless headset, to market – kicking off a major change in the way bicycle frames and forks would be developed going forward.

The original design of that revolutionary headset is still found in almost all bikes on the market today.

Q & A

What lower bearing can i use to replace the worn out bearing for my angleset installed into a 2015 Santa cruz tall boy? I think the lower cup is an EC56/40 (I can't find the box). According to the Santa Cruz website the 2015 tallboy headset is a EC49/40... is it just a regular 52mm bearing? Steve Woolcock asked on September 17, 2023

The 2015 Tallboy uses a ZS44 Top and EC49/40 Lower headset. We used to offer an Angleset for EC49 but it could only be used with straight 1-1/8" forks and we no longer produce it...

You are correct...the EC49 headset uses a 52mm bearing. The upper ZS44 uses a 41mm bearing in case you want to replace both...

Will the Angleset fit a 2026 Giant Anthem SX (link: https://www.giantbikespares.com/Giant-AnthemX-29er--Anthem-27.5--Trance-27.5--Reign-27.5--XtC-Overdrive-Headset--1310-NO57AA-112_1310-NO5752-001/product_detail/3-41313)? Jonas Klinge asked on September 15, 2023

Did you mean the 2016 Anthem SX? If so Yes you can use the Angleset. Giant lists this bike as using a ZS44/ZS56 headset so you will need the Angleset part # BAA0504K. Make sure you have at least 20mm of fork steertube above/below your stem to allow for the increased stack height of the Angleset

Does it work with a Santa Cruz megatower v1 Finn Lewis asked on September 12, 2023

Unfortunately No. The Megatower uses an integrated headset, which does not require press fit bearing cups, and the AnglSet requires press fit cups to achieve the offset.

Do you offer sets with just one angle? I don’t need three different cups to choose from. Thanks. Dan asked on September 11, 2023

We only offer the complete AngleSet kit, which comes with 0.5°, 1.0°, 1.5° cups.

Does the degree change listed take into account the added height of the ec56 below the head tube if installed in a zs56 frame? Want to know if I really will be getting more slack than 1.5 degrees with the added height? Thanks Dan asked on September 11, 2023

Yes, we have factored in the extra stack of the EC cup and other AngleSet components, in the head angle offset.

Best part of being a part of the Cane Creek family:  It’s very refreshing to work for a small, tight-knit company where we all share the same passions and to develop new products that make cycling better for everyone.
What you’ll find me doing on the weekends: Obviously riding bikes, but also wrenching on bikes or cars, exploring the mountains, and watching F1 races.
How I got here (at Cane Creek): Feeling pretty unfulfilled with a corporate engineering job, I happened to see that Cane Creek was hiring. I jumped at the opportunity to get my hands dirty working on the latest bike tech and was fortunate enough to be offered the position.
